Gallery image files can be uploaded using the Gallery Control panel. This utility is not used for images in the main website pages, nor the Shopping Cart.
- Use a local program such as "Microsoft Paint" or "Photoshop",
etc. to size your image(s) before they are uploaded. (Probably less than 500 pixels wide will be appropriate for Gallery images enlargements, but simply refresh the effected page to adjudicate best fit.)
- Rename the image(s) using a simple name-it is strongly recommended to use
only lower-case letters for all entries (ie "myphoto.jpg"). Please do NOT use special characters (ie. !@#$%^&*()_+) or spaces, nor begin the name with numerals (ie. "5myphoto.jpg").
- Click the link for "Gallery Control Panel".
- At the main panel, choose your task:
- Add a Gallery Item: Adds a new image to the Gallery. Using the
top sub-form ("Directly Upload a New Imageā¦"), click the "Browse" button. Find and select the image from your hard drive, and upload. This advances you to the "Modify Item" form where more information is entered. See below.
- Modify a Gallery Item: Modifies an existing Gallery item. Enter
the exact image name of the gallery item to be modified (ie. "myphoto.jpg"), then click submit. This advances you to the "Modify Gallery Item" form where modifications are done. See below.
- [Delete a Gallery Item]: Use the "Modify Gallery Item"
form to delete. See below.
- List Gallery Items: Lists all gallery items, or you may enter a
part of a name to filter out all others except matching. Once items are listed, they can be modified from there.
- Modify a Gallery Item:
- A gallery item can be deleted from this form by the link at top.
- To modify a gallery item, enter all relevant information into the fields
as indicated, including Title (recommended short titles, ie. "My Photo 1"), Category, description, etc.
- A new Gallery photo can also be uploaded from this form, and a thumbnail
can be created once a full-size photo is uploaded.
- Refresh the Gallery thumbnail page in your browser to ensure the new entries
appear and work properly.
