Content Manager Help

  1. Click the link for "Endless Pages Control Panel".

  2. At the main panel, choose your task:

[Important Note: For this panel, use lower-case letters for all entries, ie
    "about.html"]

    • Add a Page: Adds a new page. Generally not used as we have a pre-determined
list of pages and navigation is designed accordingly.

    • Modify a Page (used also for Delete): Modifies an existing page.
Enter the exact name of the page to be modified (ie. "about.html").
Proceed to "Modifying Pages" step below.

    • [Delete a Page]: Use the "Modify Page" link to delete
a page. Generally not used as we have a pre-determined list of pages and
navigation is designed accordingly, and will cause a broken link..

    • Rename a Page: Renames an existing page. Generally not used as
we have a pre-determined list of pages and navigation is designed accordingly.

    • List Pages: Lists all pages, or you may enter a part of a name
to filter out all others except matching. Once pages are listed, they can
      be modified from there.

    • Regenerate Pages: Regenerates all pages. Used by we designers in
      developing the website.

  3. Modify a Page: A page can be deleted from the link at the top of
this form, but remember, this is generally not used as we have a pre-determined
list of pages and navigation is designed accordingly, and will cause a broken
    link.

Routine modifications to pages are easy, but limited to the Title, the body
text, and the feature image. Use the following fields to modify, but please
do not make changes to remaining fields:

    • Title: Changes the main page Title. You may use upper or lower case characters,
special characters (ie. !@#$%^&*()_+), spaces, or numerals.

    • Block1: Changes the main body text. You may use upper or lower case characters,
special characters (ie. !@#$%^&*()_+), spaces, or numerals, along multiple
paragraphs. If you find embedded HTML code in this field, it is there to
create special formatting in the final page displayed. You may change this
HTML code if savvy to its functions, but if not, may result in adverse changes
      to pages.

    • Image1: Changes the main feature image. Make simple reference to an image
already residing in the "images/" folder (ie. "mainphoto.jpg").
The entry is case sensitive and must match exactly the name of the image
(ie. "Main_Photo3.jpg"). See more info in the "Managing Main
      Images" section.

  4. Refresh the modified page(s) in your browser to ensure the new entries appear
    and work properly.

To Upload Images: (not part of the Shopping Cart or Gallery)

Main image files can be uploaded using the Images Control panel. This utility
is not used for the Shopping Cart or the Gallery. A simple FTP program may also
be used to upload images to your "images/" folder.

  1. Use a local program such as "Microsoft Paint" or "Photoshop",
etc. to size your image(s) before they are uploaded. (Probably less than 300
pixels wide will be appropriate for main feature images, but simply refresh
the effected page to adjudicate best fit.)

  2. Rename the image(s) using a simple name-it is strongly recommended to use
only lower-case letters for all entries (ie "myphoto.jpg"). Please
do NOT use special characters (ie. !@#$%^&*()_+) or spaces, nor begin
the name with numerals (ie. "5myphoto.jpg").

  3. To upload, click the link for "Image Manager".

  4. At the main panel, click the "Browse" button.

  5. Find and select the image from your hard drive, and upload.

  6. Refresh the page(s) in your browser to ensure the new image appears and
    fits properly.
